As you approach the Sahara’s “Merzouga” entrance, take in the breathtaking vistas of the Ziz Valley and its palm groves, the longest valley in Africa (Tafilalt Oasis), and a vibrant desert environment.
Day 1: Fes > Azrou > Midelt > Erfoud > Merzouga > a night in a desert camp
Early in the morning, our 2 days desert tour from fes Merzouga desert will start from your hotel or riad in fes, and travel to the southern area of Morocco. Three diverse locations will be our first pit stop.First, stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, to take in the enchanting beauty of the area and capture some amazing images. Secondly, to see monkeys in the cedar grove at Azrou.Thirdly, visit Midelt for lunch at a restaurant and to see Ziz Valley’s breathtaking scenery.Additionally, we will go from Tizi-N-Talghamt and the magnificent Ziz Gorges to Errachidia, via Aoufous and Erfoud famous for its fossils and dates, and then to Erg Chebbi dunes, also known as Merzouga Dunes where the camels will be waitting for us to take you to the camp,therefore you will enjoy an amazing sunset and an ovenight desert camp
Day 2: Merzouga Sahara Desert > Ziz Valley > Fes
You’ll awaken in the morning to see an incredible sunrise above Merzouga’s dunes to continue your 2 days fes desert tour. our friendly Berber staff at our Merzouga desert camp are going to serve you a wonderful Berber breakfast before you take a camel ride back to the starting point where you are going to meet your driver. You will also have a shower before your camel ride.
You’ll leave the camp after breakfast and travel back to fes via the Atlas Mountains to Fez. before that We’ll drive through Rissani, which is renowned for having a fantastic market where you can buy authentic Moroccan spices, as well as Erfoud, Errachidia, and Midelt along the way. When we get to Fes, we’ll drop you off at your riad or hotel after a stop for lunch and photos of wild monkeys in the Azrou Cedar trees.
