Day 1 Marrakech - High Atlas - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley - Merzouga Desert
on the first day of our Marrakech to Merzouga 2 days tour we will take you up from your Marrakech hotel or riad and then drive you across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka route (2260 meters above sea level) to Ait Benhaddou. We will stop for lunch in a nearby restaurant after our visit to the magnificent Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Before heading downtown to take in the breathtaking vistas of Taourirt Kasbah, Kalaa M’gouna, Boumalne du Dades, and Dades valley, our next stop will be Ouarzazate, next to the Atlas film studios, for a fantastic photo opportunity. After that, we move on with our 2-days desert excursion from Marrakech to Merzouga via Tineghir to the Todra gorges. We’ll stop briefly along the trip to take pictures and enjoy the breathtaking views.
To get to our hotel, we travel through Tinejdad and Erfoud while taking in the expansive views of the Todra Gorges Canyons. Later, after the end of the day we will ride camels over the alluring Erg Chebbi sand dunes to a Berber desert camp in the middle of the dunes for a hearty meal and an overnight stay in traditional nomad tents.
